Frankly, season five centers around the repercussions of Jon Snow’s assassination. The season finale sees Daenerys Targaryen claiming her right as the rightful ruler of Westeros and sailing to attack the city of King’s Landing.

Season 6 (2016)

In season six, viewers are shown the power of the Targaryens as Daenerys conquers cities on her way to Westeros. The season finale reveals the death of the main villain, Ramsay Bolton and Jon Snow is crowned King in the North.

Season 7 (2017)

In the penultimate season, viewers see the long-awaited meeting between Daenerys and Jon Snow, as well as a darker Cersei Lannister. The season finale ends with the White Walkers marching south as the Wall falls due to the dragon’s fire.

Season 8 (2019)

The final season shows the war of humanity against the White Walkers. In the series finale, the survivors are led by the Stark family to create a new government that blends the Seven Kingdoms with the new alliances formed throughout the show.
