Steps to Fixing a Leaky Faucet

  • Turn off the water supply. Access the valve under your sink and ensure the supply is off.
  • Release pressure the faucet. With the valve off, run the spout of the faucet until the water has stopped flowing.
  • Disassemble the faucet. Gather the necessary tools, including your adjustable wrench, and begin taking apart the faucet.
  • Replace broken parts. If any parts appear to be worn or broken, replace them with the required ones.
  • Seal the parts. Apply a sealant to make sure there are no leaks once the parts have been reassembled.
  • Reassemble the faucet. Once all of the parts have been fixed or replaced, put them back together and start using the faucet again.
